Silent Strides for Peace 2026 gathers young people, Scouts, university students, community members, government institutions, peace actors, security agencies, private-sector partners, media, and local stakeholders around one visible act: choosing peace before conflict chooses the country.

Campaign idea
Silence becomes the loudest signal.
The silent walk is built around reflection, respect, restraint, unity, responsibility, and hope. It honours people affected by violence while calling young citizens into dialogue, peaceful action, and responsible civic engagement.
Peace must not only be discussed after conflict. It must be invested in before conflict.

Kenya Remembers Candle-Lighting Memorial
A reflective two-hour ceremony at Kisii University Main Campus.
Peace Breakfast, Flag-Off and Silent Walk
Participants assemble at Kisii University, walk in silence to Kisii Town Centre, then return to campus with public peace messaging.
Tree for Peace, Peace Conversation and Pledge
Tree planting, a Main Auditorium peace conversation, and the 2026 Peace Pledge.
Youth Peace Digital Lounge and Hybrid National Peace Townhall
A 7:00-8:00 PM roundtable followed by an 8:00-9:00 PM live hybrid panel at Kisii University New Auditorium.
